Ted Ginn back? Is this good or bad for team/league?

4th&Long
I think the team played way better under Todd Haley. He's experienced HC/OC. Was this a lost opportunity to move to Todd H? Or will Ted G step up and pump the team up for a win in week 4? Come on CA - get the upset of Friday!

Does Ginn have a past history of drinking? I believe a league like this presents opportunities to new coaches. The real question becomes is this something Ginn wants to do.

I'm all for giving people second chances although driving while drunk in this day in age is beyond stupid. I'm OK keeping him around but hope Haley is defacto head coach going forward and Ginn is just a figurehead

Ginn is back. But I think Haley had the experience and s/b HC. Agree with LAxtreme - as a "co" HC figure head learning on job, i'm ok but Haley is the better coach and CA need a win

Per Ted Ginn Jr in an interview, I didn’t think I could be a head coach. Cardale Jones talked him into it. He has NO experience as a head coach. Between being talked into it AND not ever being a position coach anywhere else, I do not believe that the UFL could not have done better and if they could not have done better, maybe they shouldn’t be a league. So my opinion is that he should not be back. That stated if he really feels he should be a coach and really wants to prove it maybe the league looks into it, but remember there are 50 guys that aren’t millionaires that are trying to make a name for themselves too. How did Repole and company get this hire so wrong?

That's interesting Ken, I never heard that C Jones talked him into it. Makes more sense now. We know why Mike R wanted him. He wanted an Ohio St famous alum, same as Birm and LK. But sometimes you need to pull back and, "i like the idea, but its not in the cards, lets go with a proven guy". Which they did in Dallas with Rick N. But Ted had his escape route - he could have bailed after the incident and the league would be no prob and Todd H could easily step in - he's essential OC/Assistant HC anyway. Which is a good thing. So Ted G must really want it now and it may be a good thing to focus on for him personally if he ever wants to be a position coach in FBS/NFL.
