Championship predictions
LK vs DC at Audi field
This is toughhhhh
DC in a squeaker?
Attendance 19136 :) - a nice round number
Rating 1,200k. - My thinking is great weather will hurt - I hope it does better but need over 1mm for sure.

Was in the crowd today and audi was rocking. Some resale tix went unused as well as people hanging in the concourse but id say 17-17.5 of the 19k announced showed up today. The gameday chat in reddit had nearly 2k comments and Google trends looked good but slightly below last week. With the overrun I think the ratings settle at 1.32M with a peak of 1.67M 615-630
No reporting on TV viewership from ESPN or MR so far... not a good sign.
I reached out to Sports Media Weekly and said they would post numbers when they get them. There was a blurb in adweek saying the game drew around 941k but I think they just mistook the ABC average (exactly 941k) and used it for the United Bowl. I supposed the World Cup took a larger hit out of the game than i expected. At least we wont have to deal with that for another 4 years
Per NBC-PFT reference Via Manny Soloway of Awful Announcing, 985k viewers for the United Bowl.
All bars showing WorldCup, should have played at noon. The world cup # are inflated by al the bars showing it. 5mm viewers are home for Qatar Switzerland? I don't see that.
Its the second straight year that DC failed to deliver over 1mm viewers in a title game, perhaps they need to move them to another large city that likes FB more like Philadelphia or NYC. As I've said before, and keep stating attendance does not equal viewership. And viewership pays the bills.
Updated number to 988k. Yes, the World Cup was heavily skewed by bars and OOH viewing. When Spanish language numbers are added that game alone drew roughly 10.8M viewers or nearly 2x the deciding game of the NHL Finals. I don't agree with moving DC. If this game drew 600k or so I'd say you have a point, but still basically 1M (18k were in attendance at the game as well) for a Saturday afternoon with heavy competition is basically fine. The last "real" ArenaBowl played in 2008 with Philadelphia vs San Jose only garnered around 850k viewers on ABC. 2 larger markets than DC and Lousiville.
Yep, agreed on WC.
Was half joking on DC move - just trying to point out attendance is not the only reason for team location. For the size of DC should be doing better. I do not really want them moved, but I do want to see a team location choice by the league that is based on viewership not just attendnace because that's what the media owners want and is a bigger metric for the league.
