A.J Smith out as Battlehawks OC

Good news about the OC. The offense was worse this year than last. Something that I didn't think was possible. I may even renew my season tickets with that news. I honestly liked Frost at QB more than Perez. Hopefully it will be an open competition during camp. Need to improve the running game\offensive line and that should help the passing game. Rule change to stop the clock for incomplete passes would make me even happier.

Didn’t Smith go to Colorado. It didn’t appear that Perez and Smith saw eye to eye on offensive schemes. Smith maybe a candidate for expansion job. Chamblin for sure as a head coaching candidate.

Scott, I do agree that BH can do better at OC than AJ Smith. Don't think it was that bad, the QB position didn't help his cause. Hopefully they are healthier (Perez) and have QB competition - which I think all teams could use, some more than others. Come to think of it - I wonder if Perez was injured all season and that's why Rick N traded him. Adam - not sure Smith is up for HC, he could get an OC or QB job but he may be a one trick pony. In general I like that Ricky Proehl is thinking about 2027 and seems to be motivated.
