With the UFL draft just over two weeks away, several UFL alumni continue to earn NFL opportunities with injuries mounting. Headlined with the outside possibility that UFL QB Austin Reed could be making his NFL debut with the Baltimore Ravens, two more UFL alums are also now rostered with NFL practice squads.
After being released by the San Francisco 49ers during training camp, 2024 UFL MVP Adrian Martinez is joining the Seattle Seahawks who are currently dealing with an injury to Sam Darnold. Martinez returned to the NFL after spending the spring of 2024 with the Birmingham Stallions leading them to their 3rd consecutive championship. Martinez has since spent time with the New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers between the 2024 and 2025 seasons, and will look to latch on with the Seahawks in hopes of extending his NFL career.
Also earning his second NFL consecutive NFL opportunity is Jashaun Corbin with the Dallas Cowboys. Corbin was once again one of the leading rushers during the 2026 UFL season and will be returning to Dallas on their practice squad after his release during training camp. Corbin joined the UFL in 2025 with the San Antonio Brahmas, earning NFL contracts with the Falcons and Patriots. He'd return to the UFL with the Orlando Storm, becoming a key piece during their post season run. Corbin joins the Cowboys who recently released Emari Demercado last week.
The UFL has seen 75 players from the 2026 class earn contracts, with 28 players earning paychecks from that class. Collectively spring football players are set to earn just under 53.9 million dollars this year, with 2026 class earning just over $8 million. Currently 56 spring football players are currently rostered on NFL teams going into week nine.
