It's been a quiet offseason for the Battlehawks in regards of UFL to NFL signings, however after a successful workout with the Green Bay Packers, Defensive Back Trey Dean III is the 3rd Battlehawk to earn an NFL opportunity this offseason. Per Jordan Schultz, Dean is signing with Green Bay following his second season in spring football.
Dean came out of the University of Florida in 2023, earning a UDFA opportunity with the New York Jets. Dean would earn a Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs in 2023, as a member of their practice squad, eventually joining the Cleveland Browns in 2024. Upon his release from the Browns in the spring of 2025, Dean joined the D.C. Defenders for their 2025 playoff run that ended in him earning a UFL championship.
In 2026, Dean would be signed by the Louisville Kings, only to be released about two weeks later. He'd finish his 2026 season with St. Louis. Through 7 regular season games Dean recorded 27 tackles, 1.0 sack across his time with the D.C. Defenders, St. Louis Battlehawks, and Louisville Kings.
The Battlehawks have seen three players earn NFL contracts, along with two players opting for CFL opportunities. Dean previously worked out the Tennessee Titans before his workout with the Packers.
