Fresh off their week three victory, the St. Louis Battlehawks are now dealing with their second major injury of the 2026 season. After losing defensive back Kameron Kelly to injured reserve, the Battlehawks will now be without Rahjai Harris a key special teams contributor, and 3rd string back whose been active all three weeks of the season.
Harris suffered a lower body injury during the first half of the Battlehawks matchup against the Birmingham Stallions this past Sunday. Throughout the 2026 Harris has been a central figure on St. Louis' special teams recording 7 kick returns for 219 yards (31.3 yards per return), while also recording six carries for six yards as well.
The Battlehawks will most likely turn to Kylin James to take on Harris' workload for the time being. Other options that are available if St. Louis wants to sign an additional back could Dillon Johnson who was drafted by St. Louis in January, or an established veteran like Matt Colburn.
The Battlehawks begin week four on Saturday April 19th, at Audi Field. The Battlehawks are currently 2-1 and will look to strengthen their playoff position as the season creeps to the mid-year mark.
