Battlehawks Re-Sign Kevon Latulas Among Mataeo Durant's Injury

After placing their promising young running back on injured reserve, the St. Louis Battlehawks have replaced the former Duke star with a familiar face. Last night the UFL Public Relations team announced that Missouri State Running Back Kevon Latulas is re-signing with the team after being cut at the end of training camp.

A versatile Running Back, Latulas offers not only depth at the position, but also versatility in the passing game and special teams. Durant who exploded for an 100 yard plus effort earlier this season, was sidelined during the Memphis game, and placed on Injured Reserve along with Callahan O'Reilly going into week 5.

Latulas finished his career with the Missouri State Bears having carried the ball 144 times for 1,029 yards and six touchdowns. Latulas also caught 39 passes for 458 yards and four touchdowns and was on the All-MVFC Honor Roll. He also participated in the Podyum All-Star Bowl in Miami this last January. Important to note, Latulas keeps local ties to St. Louis working with Matt Biermann of Elite Football Academy in Chesterfield.

This week the Battlehawks take on the Houston Roughnecks hoping to extend their winning streak while also tightening their hold on the XFL Conference. St. Louis is currently 4-1 on the season with all Four wins coming against "XFL" teams.
