UFL News Hub have heard from sources since the conclusion of the 2024 UFL season that there would be scheduling issues surrounding the San Antonio Brahmas in 2025. The Alamodome already had major event commitments during the months of April, May and June. Which is the during the 10 weeks of the UFL season.

One major event is the 2025 Men’s NCAA Final Four weekend, April 5th and April 7th. Followed by Disney on Ice April 19th and 20th weekend. We are hearing there are more events scheduled during that three month time period as well.

UFL News Hub broke the news days before the official announcement.

Today, along with Brahmas season ticket information for the 2025 season, the UFL released the following;

The United Football League today announced the St. Louis Battlehawks will host six regular season games in 2025, with the San Antonio Brahmas visiting The Dome at America’s Center twice.

“As we planned for the 2025 season, our process from a league standpoint was to assess availabilities at our venues to create a schedule that works operationally across all eight markets,” UFL CEO/President Russ Brandon said. “After reviewing venue availabilities, we decided the best option would be to add a sixth home game to St. Louis in order to best fulfill our team schedules. We are grateful for the support our partners; the City of St. Louis and the Dome have given us.”

The Battlehawks are 3-1 all-time against the Brahmas, with the only loss coming last season in the 2024 XFL Conference Championship game. All four games between the two teams have been decided by 10 points or less.

More information about the game and the full UFL schedule will be released at a later date, but all St. Louis Battlehawks season ticket members who renew their seats by an extended deadline of September 6, 2024, will have the first opportunity to keep their seats and purchase their tickets at a special price for the extra home game.

We assume Battlehawks fans will turn out for the ‘away game’ much more than if San Antonio moved their games to the Houston Roughnecks home of TDECU Stadium, which we are hearing they are returning for the 2025 season. The XFL’s Roughnecks played their in 2023 but had to move to Rice Stadium in 2024 due to renovations.

The Arlington Renegades home at Choctaw Stadium again would be a venue with a sparce crowd as well. St Louis is the best option by far and if both teams are competitive, it would be great for the UFL to be able to fill The Dome six times rather than five.

This is really a make or break year for the UFL in 2025. The league has been hiring more ticketing and marketing staff. We are also hearing that this week the UFL staff is meeting to finalize the 2025 season with announcements coming in early September.

    This seems like the correct play here. Even if half the people don’t attend they will still perform better than either of those locations. To note: It seems like the UFL is talking attendance, yet there is no New Jersey team. As stated earlier, I fully believe the Generals would have the 2nd best attendance in the league were they a team. It would ALSO add to the TV ratings. It is clear you no longer have to worry about an inferior product. The product is real. If you believe in it too, put a team in Jerse and it needs to be New Jersey Generals, not New York Guardians. We have plenty of New York teams playing in Jersey. We need a New Jersey. Hershel Walker was only part of the reason the Generals had so much in attendance, the rest was because New Jersey wants its team.
