As UFL teams prepare for the 2027 season, the league will host their 2027 draft to begin their process for a championship run. One of the UFL's newly minted franchises the Rhode Island Breakers will not only be looking for new players, but will also be looking for a new offensive coordinator Tyler Siskey.
Siskey joined the then Birmingham Stallions being a part of the new regime change with former Battlehawk A.J. McCarron leading the franchise. Siskey whose background includes 20 years of coaching at the Power 5, Group of 5, FCS, and high school levels was most recently, he was in charge of recruiting at Alabama where him and McCarron were together.
Breakers Head Coach A.J. McCarron was recently on "Last Chance U"'s Jason Brown's podcast in which he confirmed that Siskey is moving on from the team. McCarron confirmed that there is no bad blood between the two, and that Siskey is simply looking to focus on his business ventures which include his media appearances, and his recruiting service.
The Breakers now move into 2027 possibly looking at replacing two coordinators. In addition to Siskey's departure, defensive coordinator Kevin Sherrer is currently on staff with LSU as a defensive analyst with his status for the 2027 season unknown. The Breakers will look to begin their journey for championship in two weeks as the UFL draft is set for November 18th.
