UFL alums have seen a fair amount of movement over the past several days, and with NFL teams going into week four more transactions continue as teams adjust their rosters. After four members of the 2026 signing class found their way back on NFL practice squads, a member of the 2025 signing class has found himself back in the NFL in addition to two members of the 2024 class being signed to their respective NFL teams active roster.

Former Michigan Panther Wide Receiver Malik Turner is now back with the San Francisco 49ers on their practice squad. Turner spent all of 2025 with San Francisco appearing in three games, including their postseason matchup. Turner has been a key piece on special teams when called upon for the 49ers and has been in the NFL since 2018 as a UDFA with the Seattle Seahawks. The former Illinois receiver has appeared in 47 regular season games and could be an elevation candidate for San Francisco later in the season.

The New Orleans Saints have chosen to sign former Birmingham Stallion Kevin Austin to the active roster after exhausting his previous three elevations. Austin has bounced back and forth between the practice squad and active roster for New Orleans as a reserve Wide Receiver now fills the roster spot of Travis Etienne who is now on injured reserve. Austin has appeared in 19 games over three seasons with the Saints, recording 25 receptions for 298 yards over that span. It is also worth noting that Austin after appearing his 3rd game this season, was able to become "vested" in the NFL pension system as well.

The New York Jets will be signing Offensive Lineman Kohl Levao to their active roster for the 2nd time this season. Levao who started his pro football journey with the Frisco Fighters of the IFL, put together an All-UFL season in 2024, before joining the Jets. Levao has spent the past two seasons with the Jets and now has the opportunity to make his professional debut. The Hawaii alum was originally signed to the Jets 53-man roster before being waived and placed on the practice squad prior to week one.

The UFL continues to exceed expectations with each signing class beginning to cement themselves with vested and credible players now succeeding at the NFL. This past signing class saw 75 players earn NFL contracts, with 125 players earning over 220 workouts. UFL alumni will continue to make their impact in week four, with Christian Kuntz (Renegades), Rex Sunahara (Brahmas), and Andre Szmyt (Battlehawks) all participating in Thursday Night Football, between the Browns and Steelers.
