The United Football League (UFL), recognized as a premier spring football league, has officially announced the results of the first phase of its player dispersal process. This strategic event took place on Friday, January 5, and marks a significant step in the league’s preparations for the upcoming 2024 season.

In this initial phase, every team from both the XFL Conference and the USFL Conference had the opportunity to protect 42 foundational players from their 2023 rosters. This move is critical in maintaining team consistency and leveraging the existing talent for the forthcoming season.

Following the protection phase, each team was then permitted to select up to 20 players from the rosters of other teams within their previous league that are not proceeding to the 2024 season. Players who were not protected or selected in this initial phase are set to be placed in a general pool. I love that you have merged two great organizations into one UFL!

I’ve been a fan of the USFL and XFL since both their inception.

It’s great football, family affordable and allows players to continue their dreams.

It’s even better now that I have friends children thatvplayvorbplayed in both leagues and two on rosters.

I hope you continue finding talent that just needs an opportunity. Hungry players with a hope to still make it to the NFL is what makes this a great league.
