UFL Hires Four to Front Office as Careers Board Jumps to 19 Openings

The UFL named four business-side hires in a "New to the Roster" graphic on its LinkedIn account. The careers board now lists 19 openings, up from 11 on August 10.

Three of the four started in July. One started in August. The graphic is a catch-up announcement, not four arrivals this week.

Two of the four fill seats the UFL's own job postings already named. The league has been advertising roles that report to those two people for weeks.

Kristine Prokopec, VP, Team Business Operations

Prokopec spent five years at EA SPORTS in Orlando, where she led business operations for global marketing across the company's sports franchises. Before that she worked in league marketing strategy and operations at the NBA.

She takes the seat named on the Head of Business Operations (Team) posting, the job that runs a team's local business. The UFL has run that posting since July 22 and has not filled it in any market. It listed seven markets on July 22, six on August 10, and five now: Columbus, DC, Louisville, Orlando, and St. Louis. Houston came off in August. Dallas came off this month. Birmingham has never appeared on it.

The UFL also closed two team-level VP, Team Business Operations postings on July 13, one in St. Louis and one in Birmingham. The league has not said whether the new league-level role replaces them.

Leigh Wojtkiewicz, VP, Data & Business Intelligence

Wojtkiewicz ran data and analytics at Notre Dame as an associate athletic director, then served as Chief Data & Insights Officer at WMT. She spent nearly four years in analytics at Pac-12 Networks and co-founded the Sports Data, Analytics & Technology Association.

She has been recruiting her own team in public, and her posts say more than the job board does.

The Data & Business Intelligence group is her, a Director of Analytics & Reporting, a Data Engineer, and a CRM Manager. She called it "the startup within the startup." The stack is GCP and BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, and Bitbucket, with a BI tool still undecided, and she wrote that Gemini Enterprise is rolling out.

Her latest post also changed the Data Engineer job. It was hybrid in White Plains. It is now fully remote. That posting calls the role the first dedicated engineering hire on the team and says an outside partner built the platform she inherited.

Shannon Follett, Sr. Manager, Workplace Operations

Follett spent 22 years with the Detroit Tigers, most recently as Director of Business Operations in Lakeland, Florida.

The UFL has not advertised a Workplace Operations title on TeamWork Online during the stretch this tracker covers.

J. Leigh Hawley, Assistant General Counsel

Hawley came from FIFA World Cup 2026, where she spent five months as Counsel, Event Legal and worked on contracts covering venue technology, hotels, and security across the tournament. She has also served as General Counsel of USA Skateboarding and worked in the legal department at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

The UFL's People Strategy posting names an EVP, General Counsel & Head of People Operations as the league's senior legal seat. The UFL has not stated Hawley's reporting line.

Four New League Office Jobs

The Director, Design sets the visual identity for the league and all eight teams across campaigns, advertising, sponsorship work, merchandise, gameday graphics, and experiential design, and runs the UFL's external creative agency. It reports to the SVP, Creative & Content and can sit in White Plains, Dallas, or remote.

The Director, Creative Video & Production builds the production team behind the league and its teams, covering team launches, championship campaigns, social content, player features, documentaries, and broadcast features. It reports to the SVP, Creative & Content and sits in Arlington, Texas.

The Director/Sr. Director, People Strategy & Operations covers total rewards, benefits, HRIS, people analytics, workforce planning, and compliance. It reports to the Head of People Operations and sits in White Plains. The posting names three People Operations seats the UFL already staffs: Head of People Operations, Sr. Director, Payroll, and Director, Talent Acquisition.

The Sr. Manager, Social Media (Teams) runs social across all eight team accounts and leads the team social producers league-wide. It reports to the Sr. Director, Digital & Content and sits in Arlington.

Three of the four report to content and creative leadership. Two of those three sit in Arlington, where the UFL runs football operations, not White Plains, where it runs the business.

Six Ticket Sales Jobs in Six Markets

The UFL opened an Account Executive, Ticket Sales job in six markets: St. Louis, Columbus, Louisville, Orlando, DC, and Dallas. Birmingham and Houston have none.

The six postings carry the same description. Only the team and market change. Each reports to a Director, Team Ticket Sales & Service, a role the UFL posted in August and has not filled. That posting now lists five markets after Columbus came off it.

The six listings mark a change in how the UFL posts. Every UFL job sat under the league office board on August 10. Six team boards carry listings now.

Two Jobs Come Off the Board

The CRM Manager posting now reads "This job is closed to new applications." It sat in White Plains or remote and reported to Wojtkiewicz's seat.

The Sr. Director, Digital Marketing & Media posting is off the board. That job reported to the VP, Marketing and ran paid media across the league and all eight teams.

Both went up on or before August 10 and ran about 28 days. The UFL pulls a listing once it fills the seat, which points to September hires on both. Nine UFL business-side listings have closed since July 13.

What the League Office Still Lacks

The VP, Consumer Products posting reports to a President, Business Operations. The duties section of that same posting names an Interim President, Business Operations. The UFL has not announced a permanent hire for that seat.

Mike Repole invested in the UFL in July 2025. His firm, Impact Capital, leads the league's business operations. The jobs and the hires sit under that group.
