UFL Front Office Jobs Skip Birmingham: Head of Business Operations Open in Seven Markets

The UFL posted a Head of Business Operations (Team) job this week and is hiring one in each of seven markets ahead of the 2027 season. Birmingham is not one of them. Birmingham is a UFL team market, but it has no Head of Business Operations posting at this time.

The seven markets on the posting are Columbus, Dallas, DC, Houston, Louisville, Orlando, and St. Louis. The UFL also posted a Director, Strategic Finance job the same week. The careers board now lists four openings in total.

Head of Business Operations (Team)

This role runs the local business plan in a team market. The work covers ticketing, sponsorship, marketing, communications, community relations, and the game day experience. The role owns team revenue targets, with a focus on sponsorship and ticket sales.

The Head of Business Operations reports to the VP, Team Business Operations. The UFL is hiring one in each of seven markets: Columbus, Dallas, DC, Houston, Louisville, Orlando, and St. Louis.

The salary range is $130,000 to $235,000 per year, plus incentive pay and benefits. The role is hybrid. It requires presence at all games and key events. Out-of-market travel stays under 25 percent.

Candidates need a BA or BS, with an MBA preferred. The posting asks for 10 or more years in marketing, sponsorship sales, or revenue generation, with sports, media, or entertainment experience preferred.

Director, Strategic Finance

This role drives financial decisions with data. The work links operational data to the profit and loss statement, builds financial models, runs scenario and cost analysis, and prepares reporting for league leaders.

The Director, Strategic Finance reports to the EVP, Finance. The role is based in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT). It is hybrid, with in-office days at the White Plains, New York office.

The salary range is $125,000 to $165,000 per year, plus incentive pay and benefits. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 5 to 7 years in strategic finance, corporate finance, or FP&A. The posting asks for advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. NetSuite and Looker experience is a plus.

Where the UFL Is Hiring

Both roles live on the UFL careers board, which runs on ADP Workforce Now. The board lists four openings. The other two are VP, Consumer Products and a temporary Accounting Associate.

UFL Business Operations Run From White Plains, New York

The UFL runs its business operations from White Plains, New York, at 1 N Broadway. It runs its football operations from Arlington, Texas. The White Plains office operates under XFL Properties LLC, which does business as the United Football League. The Director, Strategic Finance job is based at this office.

Mike Repole invested in the UFL in July 2025. Repole is a New York entrepreneur who co-founded Vitaminwater, BodyArmor, and NoBull. His private-equity firm, Impact Capital, leads the league's business operations. The White Plains base and the new business jobs sit under that group.

How This Role Compares to Past UFL and XFL Team Jobs

The Head of Business Operations (Team) title is new for the UFL. The job builds on team business roles the league and the XFL used before.

The 2020 XFL gave each team its own team president. That president ran local business, including ticket sales, corporate partnerships, marketing, communications, community relations, and game day.

From 2023 to 2025, XFL and UFL teams had a market-based business role: VP, Team Business and Event Operations. The job ran team business, sponsorship, fan and community engagement, and game day in one market.

Mike Repole's group took over the league's business operations and let those team roles go. No team had one for the 2026 season. The UFL is now hiring the role back for the 2027 season, under the new title Head of Business Operations (Team), with one posting in each of seven markets.
