As the 2026 UFL season is now underway, the first nine quarterbacks have made their mark on the league. While some quarterbacks rose to the occasion others have shown fans much to be desired for in the coming weeks.
Below are the week two rankings:
9. Nolan Henderson Houston Gamblers
3/9 34yds 0 TD 2 INT 2 rush 8 yds 0 TD
Preseason Ranking: N/A
Henderson’s latest performance should be his last. After failing to generate any sort of continuity on offense in his 3rd year in the UFL/pro football, Henderson should soon be regulated to QB3, once Taulia Tagovailoa is up to speed in the Gamblers offense. It is quite possible that if the league looks to continue younger QB talent, Henderson may find himself unemployed rather soon.
8. Jordan Ta’amu D.C. Defenders

Preseason Ranking: #1
Ta’amu was fighting for his life consistently in week one, and hopefully his performance on Saturday was an anomaly rather than the standard. Ta’amu was consistently under pressure, failing to find any sort of rhythm due to a tenacious pass-rush by the Battlehawks. The Defenders have signed 2025 All-UFL OT Yasir Durant which hopefully allows for some relief for the 2025 champion.
7. Hunter Dekkers Houston Gamblers
19/29 227yds 0 TD 0 INT 3 rush 27 yds 1 TD
Preseason Ranking: #9
While Dekkers stat line provides hope you have to wonder if those numbers are inflated due to the score of the game being out of hand. Dekkers overall looked much more comfortable in the Gamblers offense and should warrant plenty of opportunity for the Gamblers until Taulia Tagovailoa earns an opportunity.
6. Jalan McClendon Columbus Aviators

Preseason Ranking: #4
While McClendon is a fun story, the more and more I watch him, the less I stay in love with him from his 2023 run with the Vipers. While I’m a fan of McClendan as a 30 year old spring football quarterback with limited NFL opportunities in the past several years, his upside may be extremely limited if the Aviators want to be competitive. It is worth noting I do believe McClendan does take the majority of the snaps this season for Columbus barring injury.
5. Jack Plummer Orlando Storm
17/22 240yds 1 TD 0 INT 3 rush 11 yds 0 TD
Preseason Ranking: #13
I have decided if I’m “high” Plummer, but I have decided is that the playmakers around him are good enough to elevate the Storm and him if called upon. Plummer’s biggest issue to me was the inability to maneuver in the pocket the way I would have hoped; however, when given time he was able to manage the game at a high level. Plummer should continue to gain more confidence and comfort as the season progresses and should begin to creep in the top-4 of QBs at seasons end.
4. Brandon Silvers St. Louis Battlehawks

Preseason Ranking: #5
The reliable veteran did what was expected of him leading to a victory for the Battlehawks, While St. Louis dealt with some issues at receiver especially without the dominating presence of Hakeem Butler, the team still proved capable despite issues up front. With what appears to be Sincere Haynesworth now taking more reps inside, the Battlehawks may be able to have a more balanced attack in week two.
3. Jason Bean Louisville Kings

Preseason Ranking: #6
There is a lot of hype around Jason Bean, and it appears that he may have fallen short of expectations. However, if there is one thing we know, it's that mobile quarterbacks reign supreme in the UFL, which is exactly what Bean’s strengths are. Look for the 2024 #1 pick to rebound and provide plenty of highlights in this coming week, with another week of practice.
2. Matt Corral Birmingham Stallions
21/30 208yds 1 TD 0 INT 3 rush 3 yds 0 TD
Preseason Ranking: #2
Despite looking a bit rusty, the 3rd year of Stallion still managed to put together plenty of good tape in a new offense, and a new scheme which should warrant plenty of improvement as the season progresses. While it wasn’t the flashiest, it is worth noting that Corral does remain undefeated as a starter in the UFL.
1. Austin Reed Dallas Renegades

Preseason Ranking: #1
Realistically there isn’t much to write. Austin Reed went out there, proved to be the best player on the football field, while setting the record for passing yards in a regular season game. For his first time in playing this much extended action since college, Reed easily has taken the UFL and possibly the football world by storm with his week one play.
