Depth Chart:

Notable Injuries:

The Battlehawks will be without Marcell Ateman, Special Teams Ace Jerome Kapp, and Qwynnterrio Cole. They do return A.J. McCarron, and Vadal Alexander both of whom did not play last week. Ben DeLuca was taken off Injured-Reserve last week and now on the inactive roster for week 10.

Three Keys to Victory:

Keep A.J. Healthy: It’s a no brainer that when McCarron is at the helm, the Battlehawks Offense has the potential to become the UFL’s version of the greatest show on turf. After a Two game hiatus, McCarron is set to make his return and still ranks on top of the UFL leaderboards for major passing statistics. Hopefully, for the Battlehawks sake McCarron and company are able to get out to quick lead that allows them to not only win the game but have McCarron healthy for the conference championship.

Strong Rushing Attack: For both teams the rushing game is going to be extremely crucial in Week 10. The Battlehawks will have to lean on Wayne Gallman, Jacob Saylors and Kevon Latulas this week with an injured McCarron hopefully the Battlehawks Trifecta can relieve some pressure off the Alabama signal caller. For the Brahmas, they’ll be going into week 10 without John Lovett, and Anthony McFarland both of which have been standout performers for San Antonio. Filling in the gap for the Brahmas will be Morgan Ellison and the shifty Pooka Williams in hopes of easing Chase Garbers back into action.

Keeping Garbers Uneasy: Despite the addition of Pita Taumoepenu, and Austin Faoliu the Battlehawks pass rush has remained about the same as it did in 2023 (19.0 Sacks in 23, 17.0 Sacks in 24). With the season on the line St. Louis needs to see Taumoepenu, Feeney, and Wells kick up it up into high gear, to take advantage of the injuries that have accrued for the Brahmas. Fresh off injured reserve Garbers will be without John Lovett, Cody Latimer, and Anthony McFarland, coupled with the existing injuries on the Offensive Line.

Final Thoughts:

Essentially the beginning of the Battlehawks playoff run, both teams go into week 10 a bit unhealthy as the regular season comes to an end. With both teams banged up this may come down to a game of field position and despite the big leg of Punter Brad Wing, the Battlehawks return specialist Darrius Shepherd could be a deciding factor in this game, if he’s able to shift the field in the Battlehawks favor. Overall, the experience of McCarron, a healthy Offensive Line, the trio of Running Backs, along with Hakeem Butler, Darrius Shepherd, and Jahcour Pearson, should prove too much for a solid San Antonio defense as the Battlehawks win this one 28-16 and confirm their homefield advantage for the Conference championship.
