United Football League Players to Watch in the NFL: NFL Games Taking Place August 14-15, 2026

ARLINGTON, TX (August 14, 2026) – The United Football League will be represented by 52 former players who are on NFL rosters for the weekend’s ten-game preseason schedule.

To date, 81 former UFL players and spring football alumni, including 48 players from the 2026 UFL season are under contract and in NFL training camps preparing for their shot to shine in the preseason.

• Named 2026 UFL United Bowl MVP after helping Louisville defeat DC 27-20 for the championship with a 44-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter that gave the Kings a lead they wouldn’t give back. Recorded 17 carries for 175 yards and two touchdowns in postseason play.

• Finished the regular season fourth in the UFL with 370 rushing yards on 68 carries, while his six rushing touchdowns ranked second in the league. He also added 13 kick returns for 370 yards and finished with 776 all-purpose yards.

• Signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and had a two-touchdown preseason game against Buffalo before an ACL injury ended his rookie season. He later spent time with the New Orleans Saints before joining Louisville.

• Standout running back and return specialist at Howard from 2019-23, Wheeler helped the Bison win back-to-back MEAC championships. He was a first-team All-MEAC selection as a senior.
