The United Football League will be represented by 88 former players who are on NFL rosters for Friday and Saturday’s 12-game preseason schedule.

To date, 111 former UFL players and spring football alumni, including 74 players from the 2026 UFL season are under contract fighting for roster spots during the final week of the NFL preseason.

  • Played in all 10 regular-season games for the 2026 D.C. Defenders, recording 24 tackles, three sacks, two pass breakups and two forced fumbles.

  • Selected by the Buffalo Bills in the second round (61st overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft and spent two seasons with Buffalo. He later played for the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers before joining the D.C. Defenders for the 2026 UFL season. He has appeared in 43 NFL games, recording 61 tackles, 4.5 sacks and one interception.

  • A five-year player at Wake Forest, Basham appeared in 52 games and finished his collegiate career with 174 tackles, 35.5 tackles for loss, 20.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. He earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2019 and third-team recognition in 2020.

  • Played in seven games for the 2026 Louisville Kings, recording 29 tackles and one pass breakup.

  • Entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams in 2023. He was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Bears and appeared in three games as a rookie. Johnson later spent time with the Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers before joining Louisville.

  • A five-year player at Memphis, Johnson appeared in 51 games and finished his collegiate career with 284 tackles, six interceptions, 12 pass breakups and three forced fumbles.

  • He earned first-team All-AAC honors in 2022 after recording 85 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups.

  • Selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round (240th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent time with the Panthers, Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and Las Vegas Raiders before joining the Battlehawks.

  • A six-year player at Michigan, Barrett appeared in 63 games and was part of three consecutive Big Ten championship teams before helping the Wolverines win the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship. He earned third-team All-Big Ten honors in both 2022 and 2023.

  • 2026 NFL Preseason - Signed with the Ravens 8/26.

Tampa Bay Vipers | Georgia

  • Selected by the Tampa Bay Vipers in the 2020 XFL Draft and played in all five games during the league's abbreviated 2020 season

  • Signed with Baltimore later that year and has appeared in 69 regular-season games for the club

  • Earned Second Team All-Pro honors in 2022

  • Played collegiately at Georgia after beginning his professional athletic career in baseball. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 30th round of the 2011 MLB Draft and spent four seasons in the organization's minor-league system

  • Signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Bears in 2024 and also spent time with the New Orleans Saints

  • Was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round (240th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft. He spent part of the 2023 season with Jacksonville before joining the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. Parish played two seasons in Toronto, appearing in 34 games and recording 53 defensive tackles and 11 sacks before joining the Defenders.

  • A six-year player at Houston, Parish appeared in 47 games and recorded 140 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. He earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors in 2021 after posting 56 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

  • 2026 NFL Preseason - Signed with the Texans 8/26.


#31 RB Deuce Vaughn
Orlando Storm | Kansas State

  • Joined the Orlando Storm during the 2026 season but did not appear in a game. He now returns to the NFL after spending the 2025 season with the Denver Broncos.

  • Originally selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round (212th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft where he appeared in nine games over two seasons with the Cowboys, rushing for 110 yards on 40 carries while adding 10 receptions for 58 yards. He also contributed as a return specialist during his NFL career.

  • A standout at Kansas State, Vaughn finished his collegiate career with 3,604 rushing yards and 1,280 receiving yards, becoming one of the most productive all-purpose players in school history. He earned consensus All-American honors in 2022.

  • 2026 NFL Preseason - Signed with the Texans 8/24.

#67 Kyon Barrs
Houston Gamblers | USC

  • Played in all 10 games for Houston Gamblers in 2026, recording 27 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and four pass breakups.

  • Played all 10 games for the Dallas Renegades in 2025, totaling 24 tackles, 1.0 sack, 1.0 tackle for loss, and one pass breakup.

  • Originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent toward the conclusion of their 2024 training camp and also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals in 2025 before joining the UFL.

  • Played in 45 collegiate games between USC and Arizona. He earned Second Team All-Pac-12 honors at Arizona in 2021 before transferring to USC for his final season.

  • 2026 NFL Preseason - Recorded 1 tackle in Hall of Fame Game. Saw action across 12 defensive snaps and one special teams play in Week 2 of the preseason.

Birmingham Stallions | San Jose State

  • Joined Birmingham midway through the 2026 season but did not appear in game action.

  • Signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and appeared in 11 games over two seasons, recording three receptions for 38 yards. He later spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints

  • Played collegiately at Nevada and San José State, finishing his career with 184 receptions for 2,554 yards and 28 touchdowns. Earned First Team All-Mountain West honors in 2022 after recording 69 receptions for 1,076 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Spartans.

  • 2026 NFL Preseason - Targeted once during Hall of Fame game. Recorded 2 receptions for 11 yards in Week 1 of the preseason. Saw action on 22 offensive snaps while also contributing on special teams.

#49 LB Cam Gill
Louisville Kings | Wagner

  • Named the 2026 UFL Defensive Player of the Year after setting a UFL single-season record with 10.0 sacks and leading the league with 12.0 tackles for loss.

  • Added 39 tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery during the regular season, then contributed nine tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack during Louisville's championship run.

  • Spent four seasons in the NFL, appearing in 50 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings. He was a member of Tampa Bay's Super Bowl LV championship team and recorded a half-sack in the victory over Kansas City.

  • A two-time First Team All-NEC selection and two-time NEC Defensive Player of the Year. He finished his collegiate career as the conference's all-time leader with 34 sacks and earned STATS Perform FCS First Team All-America honors as a senior.
