For the second straight season, Green Bay Blizzard Offensive Coordinator Matt Behrendt has been recognized among the IFL’s best after leading one of the league’s most productive offenses in 2026.
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce Green Bay Blizzard Offensive Coordinator Matt Behrendt as the 2026 IFL Assistant Coach of the Year.
Behrendt earns the honor for the second consecutive season, continuing an impressive run directing one of the most productive offenses in the IFL. The former Blizzard quarterback has now led Green Bay's offense for four straight seasons.
Under Behrendt's direction, the Blizzard finished the 2026 regular season ranked first in the IFL with 936 points and 55 points per game. Green Bay totaled 4,198 yards of offense, ranking fifth in the league.
The Blizzard's offensive success came through both the air and on the ground. Green Bay ranked eighth in passing yards per game (155.8) and fifth with 58 passing touchdowns, while its rushing attack ranked second at 91.1 yards per game and led the IFL with 63 rushing touchdowns.
Green Bay's individual performances also earned recognition throughout the season, with two Blizzard players combining to earn five IFL Offensive Player of the Week awards.
With back-to-back IFL Assistant Coach of the Year awards, Behrendt continues to establish himself as one of the league's top offensive coaches while helping keep Green Bay among the IFL's top teams.
