Tulsa Oilers Name Peyton Riggs Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach

Fresh off an IFL championship, Peyton Riggs is headed to Tulsa to take the reins of the Oilers’ offense in 2027.

The Tulsa Oilers have named Peyton Riggs as the team's new Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach, bringing the reigning IFL champion to Tulsa for the 2027 season.

Riggs spent the past two seasons as Offensive Coordinator for the Arizona Rattlers. In 2026, he helped guide an offense that finished third in the Indoor Football League as Arizona captured its second IFL championship in three seasons. The year prior, Riggs helped the Rattlers earn the No. 2 seed in a highly competitive Western Conference.

Before joining Arizona, Riggs served as Offensive Coordinator for the Sioux Falls Storm, working alongside his father and IFL coaching legend Kurtiss Riggs. In 2023, the duo helped lead Sioux Falls to the IFL Eastern Conference Championship Game, with the Storm averaging nearly 42 points per game. During his two seasons leading the offense, Sioux Falls finished among the IFL's top 10 in touchdowns both years.

Riggs' time in Sioux Falls began as the Storm's Wide Receivers Coach during the 2021 and 2022 seasons before he moved into the offensive coordinator role.

Prior to entering the indoor football ranks, Riggs began his coaching career at the University of Washington, serving as a recruiting analyst during the shortened 2020 season. The Huskies finished 3-1 and atop the Pac-12 North standings that year.

Riggs now brings championship experience and a growing résumé as an offensive coach to Tulsa as the Oilers continue building their staff for the 2027 IFL season.
