ARLINGTON, TX (August 24, 2026) – Six more players from the 2026 United Football League season have signed NFL contracts, with Orlando Storm defensive back Jaylen Mahoney signing with the Philadelphia Eagles, safety Jason Taylor II joining the Detroit Lions and running back Deuce Vaughn signing with the Houston Texans. Birmingham Stallions defensive back Steven Gilmore has joined the Los Angeles Rams, Dallas Renegades defensive back Hudson Clark has joined the Arizona Cardinals, and Louisville Kings linebacker Jaheim Thomas has signed with the Miami Dolphins.
The additions bring the total number of players from the 2026 UFL season who have signed NFL contracts to 69, while the overall number of UFL alumni currently in NFL training camps reaches 101.
DB Hudson Clark | Birmingham Stallions → Arizona Cardinals
Clark (6-2, 194, Arkansas) played eight games for the 2026 Birmingham Stallions, recording 15 tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and two pass breakups.
Clark signed with the Las Vegas Raiders as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and spent the offseason and training camp with the club. He spent time with the Tennessee Titans during the 2026 preseason and appeared in training camp before signing with Arizona.
A five-year player at Arkansas, Clark appeared in 55 games and finished his collegiate career with 224 tackles, six interceptions, four sacks and 24 forced fumbles. He was named a team captain and earned First-Team All-SEC and First-Team All-America honors following the 2023 season.
DB Steven Gilmore | Birmingham Stallions → Los Angeles Rams
Gilmore (5-8, 170, Marshall) returns to the NFL after two seasons with the Birmingham Stallions. He started all 10 regular-season games for Birmingham in 2026, recording 33 tackles, five pass breakups, and one interception. His highlight performance came against the Columbus Aviators where he recorded an interception and a blocked field goal he returned 55 yards for a touchdown.
Gilmore originally signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and spent two seasons with the club before joining the Stallions. He also spent part of the 2025 offseason and training camp with the Arizona Cardinals.
A five-year player at Marshall, Gilmore appeared in 61 games and finished his collegiate career with 200 tackles, nine interceptions, and 44 passes defensed. He earned first-team All-Conference USA honors in 2020, followed by second-team All-Conference USA recognition in 2021 and second-team All-Sun Belt honors in 2022.
DB Jaylen Mahoney | Orlando Storm → Philadelphia Eagles
Mahoney (6-2, 205, Vanderbilt) played in six games for the 2026 Orlando Storm, recording 26 tackles, one tackle for loss and two pass breakups.
Mahoney originally signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2024 and spent time on the team's practice squad. He also spent time with the New York Giants before joining Orlando for the 2026 UFL season.
A four-year player at Vanderbilt, Mahoney appeared in 47 games and finished his collegiate career with 202 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions and 15 pass breakups. He was named a team captain as a senior and earned All-SEC honors during his career.
S Jason Taylor II | Orlando Storm → Detroit Lions
Taylor (6-0, 203, Oklahoma State) played in five regular-season games for the Orlando Storm in 2026, recording 18 tackles and one forced fumble. He also appeared in one postseason game, totaling seven tackles, and 1.0 tackle for loss.
Taylor was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round (234th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft and appeared in eight games as a rookie, recording five tackles. He later spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs before joining Orlando.
A four-year starter at Oklahoma State, Taylor appeared in 51 games and finished his career with 99 tackles and six interceptions in 2022. He earned Walter Camp Second-Team All-America honors and was named First-Team All-Big 12 by the coaches and Associated Press that season.
LB Jaheim Thomas | Louisville Kings → Miami Dolphins
Thomas (6-2, 223, Wisconsin) started all 10 regular-season games for the 2026 Louisville Kings, leading the team with 65 tackles, which also ranked fourth in the UFL. He also recorded 1.0 tackle for loss, two pass breakups, and 0.5 sacks. Thomas continued to make an impact in the postseason, leading all players with 15 tackles, including 10 solo, to go along with three pass breakups in two postseason games.
Thomas began his collegiate career at Arkansas, where he recorded 90 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2023, before transferring to Wisconsin for his final season. He started 10 of 11 games for the Badgers in 2024, finishing with 53 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.
RB Deuce Vaughn | Orlando Storm → Houston Texans
Vaughn (5-5, 176, Kansas State) joined the Orlando Storm during the 2026 season but did not appear in a game. He now returns to the NFL after spending the 2025 season with the Denver Broncos. Vaughn was originally selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round (212th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Vaughn appeared in nine games over two seasons with the Cowboys, rushing for 110 yards on 40 carries while adding 10 receptions for 58 yards. He also contributed as a return specialist during his NFL career.
A standout at Kansas State, Vaughn finished his collegiate career with 3,604 rushing yards and 1,280 receiving yards, becoming one of the most productive all-purpose players in school history. He earned consensus All-American honors in 2022.
