Battlehawks Add QB Harrison Frost, Release Two Players as Training Camp Goes Into Week Two

With UFL training camp going into its 2nd week, the St. Louis Battlehawks have spent the first portion of the season with only two quarterbacks after Michael Pratt, decided to opt out of the 2026 UFL season. Friday evening the UFL announced that the team will be signing 4th year pro Harrison Frost, while releasing two defensive players.

Frost was a 2023 UDFA who signed with the Seattle Sea Dragons prior to the NFL draft, after the team opted to release Brian Lewerke. He'd spend the 2023 season in the XFL behind Steven Montez and Ben DiNucci, not seeing any action during the year. After garnering NFL interest through rookie mini-camp, Frost signed with the CFL's Hamilton Ti-Cats post USFL-XFL merger, spending two years with the team before being released earlier this week. The Battlehawks QB room consists of Brandon Silvers, and Ben Wooldridge going into the second week of training camp.

The Battlehawks also released two defensive players in Chris Hardie (Defensive Lineman), and William Hardy (Linebacker). Hardie started his career at Jacksonville State, appearing in 48 games totaling 162 tackles, 47 TFLs, 22 sacks, along with multiple post-season honors. He transferred to Ole Miss in 2024, as a rotational pass rusher totaling 6 tackles, and 1.5 sacks across 8 games. Hardie was a 2025 UDFA, and with this being his first professional football opportunity. Hardy came from Miles College a Division-II school in Alabama. Hardy was a 2025 UDFA who amassed 181 tackles, 20 TFLs, and 4.5 sacks through 40 games in college.

The Battlehawks roster currently sits at 61 as the team prepares for week two of training camp. The Battlehawks went 8-2 in 2025, with a loss to the D.C. Defenders in the conference championship game. St. Louis begins their 2026 season against D.C. March 28th, at "the Dome".
