Fresh off their week one victory against the D.C. Defenders, the Battlehawks have made their first major shakeup of the 2026 regular season with their roster. Per the UFL public relations department the team has announced that defensive back Kameron Kelly will be placed on injured reserve with the team bringing back Keylon Kennedy.
Kennedy returns to St. Louis for his third tour of duty dating back to 2024. Originally out of Garden City Community College, Kennedy joined the Vegas Vipers in 2023, before joining the Battlehawks post XFL-USFL merger. Over the past two years, Kennedy would join St. Louis during training camp however has been a part of final cuts in 25' and 26'.
Kennedy will be replacing Kameron Kelly who is a veteran of over 80 professional football games across the NFL, CFL, AAF, XFL, and UFL. Kelly was injured in the second quarter of the Battlehawks home opener, after recording two tackles for St. Louis.
With Kelly out for the next several weeks, the Battlehawks could turn to Luq Barcoo as a replacement. The Battlehawks are set to take on the Dallas Renegades on April 7th in week two hoping to go 2-0.
