After having a short stint with the Texans in preseason, former Orlando Storm Running Back Deuce Vaughn is back in the NFL. The former All-American is joining the Houston Texans on their practice squad ahead of their week five matchup. Currently the Texans sit at 0-4, after coming into the 2026 season with aspirations of competing for an AFC South title.
Vaughn joined the Orlando Storm after three seasons with the Cowboys. Vaughn appeared in 14 games for Dallas, rushing 110 yards on 14 carries. He spent the entire 2025 season on the Cowboys practice squad, before signing a futures deal with the Denver Broncos. Vaughn would spend part of the offseason with Denver before signing with the Orlando Storm on May 30th.

Former San Diego Fleet alum Daniel Brunskill has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. Brunskill is now going into year 10 of the NFL, utilizing the AAF to jumpstart his career.
UFL alumni such as Jack Plummer (Storm), Curtis Jacobs (Defenders), and Jah Joyner (Gamblers) have all received workouts from NFL team in the early part of week five.
The UFL has seen 75 players earn NFL contracts during the 2026 signing class. Currently over 50 players remain rostered on NFL teams, as franchises prepare for the fifth week of competition. The UFL has seen 125 players earn over 225 workouts during the 2026 signing cycle as well.
