Orlando Storm Finalize Roster Cuts, Claim CB Brandon Sebastian Off Waivers

After three weeks training camp in the UFL has come to a close as all of the UFL teams made their last round of roster cuts. Each team came into training camp with 64 players, and each team had to cut their roster down to 50 players before the start of the first week of the 2026 season. The Orlando Storm came into training camp with a roster loaded with former Saint Louis Battlehawks and San Antonio Brahmas players from the 2025, but with the final roster cuts the players that remain are now Orlando Storm players officially.

Due to the significant amount of proven UFL players on the Storm roster in training camp, it was inevitable that some surprising cuts were going to occur. Those cuts included wide receiver Dee Anderson whose large frame seemed to make him a great fit for head coach Anthony Becht's philosophy on offense. In addition, former San Antonio Brahmas standout wide receiver Marquez Stevenson was also cut despite his proven ability to be a WR1 in the UFL.

UFL Insider James Larsen released a complete list of Orlando Storm roster cuts before they were officially announced by the UFL.

The Orlando #Storm have released the following #UFL players:

A surprising cut for the Storm on the defensive side of the ball was the decision to release former All-UFL defensive end Delontae Scott. However, the last time Scott played at an All-UFL level was in 2023 with the San Antonio Brahmas. Last season, Scott was signed by the Birmingham Stallions, but failed to make an impact. Another proven defender, defensive back Chris Claybrooks went from being a defensive starter for the Arlington Renegades during the 2025 UFL season, but was cut this season from the Storm roster.

Storm Claim Cornerback Brandon Sebastian

While fourteen players were cut from the Storm's training camp roster, former Saint Louis Battlehawks cornerback Brandon Sebastian was claimed by Orlando after he had been cut this year. The addition of Sebastian is not surprising due to his experience with Storm head coach Anthony Becht and Storm defensive coordinator Donnie Abraham after spending the last three seasons in Saint Louis with both coaches. However, over the last three season Sebastian has suffered injuries that shortened his season in 2024 and 2025.

During the 2023 XFL season, Sebastian played started all 10 games for the Battlehawks and he recorded 3 interceptions, 20 solo tackles, and 5 assists. In 2024, Sebastian started 7 games and had 1 interception with 11 solo tackles, and 3 assists. In addition, Sebastian only started 3 games for Saint Louis in 2025, and only had 1 interception 7 solo tackles, and 1 assist.

During his time with the Battlehawks, Sebastian demonstrated elite ball hawking skills, and was an exceptional cover corner. In addition, he showed great anticipation when playing in zone coverages, and he played well from a press position against XFL and UFL wide receivers. Sebastian has also consistently been a dependable contributor on special teams.
