The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to sign defensive end Jacoby Windmon following his season with the Columbus Aviators.
Jacoby Windmon - Michigan State (6’2, 250 lbs)
Jacoby Windmon joined the Columbus Aviators midway through the season and got elevated playing time in the last 2 games following the injury to fellow Michigan State alumnus Kenny Willekes. He played in 3 games for the Aviators this season, recording 6 tackles, including 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble. By my count, he had 9 additional pressures past a blocker over that span.
Windmon began his collegiate career at UNLV, appearing in 30 games with 19 starts from 2019-21 and recording 169 total tackles and 12 sacks. He transferred to Michigan State ahead of the 2022 season and appeared in 11 games with 11 starts over two years, posting 64 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2024, where he appeared in eight games with two starts across stints with Pittsburgh and Carolina that season, recording 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He spent time on the Carolina Panthers practice squad and dressed in 1 game in 2025. He was waived by the Panthers this past May.
