This matchup features two teams desperately needing momentum. The Gamblers (2-3) just made big roster moves at the midseason point, signing wide receiver Kaden Davis and cornerback Ameer Speed while releasing B.J. Mayes and LuJuan Winningham. The Aviators (1-4) are coming off their first win of the season but remain at the bottom of the standings.

Houston won the first meeting between these teams 17-13 in a defensive slugfest back in Week 5. Both offenses struggled mightily in that contest, combining for just 30 points. The Aviators have shown flashes under head coach Ted Ginn Jr. but consistency remains elusive.

Players to Watch:

  • Jalan McClendon (Aviators, QB) — Leading Columbus with 884 passing yards and 5 TDs through five games
  • Marcus Yarns (Gamblers, RB) — Houston's top rusher with 209 yards on 34 carries this season
  • Kaden Davis (Gamblers, WR) — Fresh signing who could provide an immediate spark to Houston's offense

Pick: Gamblers 20-16. Houston's recent roster moves and experience in tight games gives them the edge in another low-scoring affair.
