- Goodrich becomes the 31st player from a 2026 UFL roster to sign with the NFL
ARLINGTON, TX (August 1, 2026) – United Football League cornerback Mario Goodrich (6-0, 179, Clemson) has signed with the NFL's Tennessee Titans, the league announced today.
Goodrich established himself as one of the UFL's premier defensive playmakers during his two seasons with the Birmingham Stallions (2025–26). The former Clemson standout appeared in 16 regular season games, and one playoff game for the Stallions, recording 30 total tackles, including 21 solo stops, while adding 11 pass breakups and three forced fumbles. A consistent presence in the secondary, Goodrich's physical coverage, instincts, and playmaking ability helped anchor one of the league's top defensive backfields.
Before transforming into a UFL standout, Goodrich entered the professional ranks in 2022 when he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He spent two seasons developing on the Eagles' practice squad and active roster, appearing in four regular-season games during the 2023 campaign, recording five tackles with one start. His football journey also features valuable NFL depth experience during stints with the New York Giants, Denver Broncos, and New York Jets.
A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Goodrich put together a decorated collegiate career at Clemson under head coach Dabo Swinney. Over 31 career games for the Tigers, he tallied 68 tackles, 15 pass breakups, and five interceptions. As a senior in 2021, Goodrich earned First-Team All-ACC honors and was named the Cheez-It Bowl MVP. A proven winner, he was part of three ACC Championship rosters and a member of Clemson's 2018 National Championship team.
