2026 IFL Offensive Rookie of the Year: Paxton Delaurent

A breakout rookie season put Paxton DeLaurent among the IFL’s top quarterbacks and helped power the Orlando Pirates to the postseason in their inaugural season.

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce Orlando Pirates quarterback Paxton DeLaurent as the 2026 IFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

DeLaurent put together an impressive first season in the IFL, establishing himself as one of the league's most productive quarterbacks. He completed 267 passes for 2,851 yards and 56 touchdowns, finishing the regular season with a 70.5 percent completion rate.

The Orlando quarterback was also a major threat on the ground. DeLaurent added 335 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns, giving him 70 total touchdowns during his rookie campaign.

DeLaurent's play earned him league recognition throughout the season, including IFL Offensive Player of the Week honors in Week 15 and Week 20. He closed the regular season with one of his biggest performances of the year, accounting for nine total touchdowns in Orlando's Week 20 victory.

With his ability to attack defenses through the air and on the ground, DeLaurent quickly became the centerpiece of the Pirates' offense and helped lead Orlando to a postseason appearance in its inaugural season.

DeLaurent's breakout 2026 campaign established him as one of the IFL's most dynamic young quarterbacks and a player to watch for years to come.
