Green Bay Blizzard kicker Andrew Mevis proved to be one of the league’s most valuable weapons on special teams, turning kicks into points throughout a standout 2026 season.
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce Green Bay Blizzard kicker Andrew Mevis as the 2026 IFL Special Teams Player of the Year.
Mevis was a difference-maker for Green Bay throughout the 2026 season, finishing the regular season with 164 points, 13 made field goals, 97 made PATs and 17 deuces.
In a league where special teams can quickly change the momentum of a game, Mevis gave the Blizzard an added advantage. His 17 deuces turned kickoffs into scoring opportunities and allowed Green Bay to continue adding points even after the offense left the field.
Mevis' performance earned recognition throughout the season, including back-to-back IFL Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Weeks 17 and 18.
His production was another piece of a Green Bay team that finished the regular season as the No. 1 overall seed and earned its second consecutive trip to the IFL National Championship.
From field goals and extra points to his ability to put points on the board on kickoffs, Mevis impacted games in multiple ways throughout 2026, earning him IFL Special Teams Player of the Year honors.
