Indoor Football League Surpasses 6.1 Million Broadcast Viewers in 2026

Record-setting season delivers unprecedented national audience growth

The Indoor Football League (IFL) closed its 2026 season with more than 6.1 million broadcast viewers, marking the largest national audience in league history.

The record-setting total combines viewership across the IFL's national broadcast partners, Yahoo Sports Network and Overnght Sports, and caps a season of unprecedented audience growth for the league.

After surpassing 4.5 million viewers on Yahoo Sports Network by June 30, the IFL continued building its national audience through the final weeks of the regular season, playoffs and the 2026 IFL National Championship.

"More than 6.1 million viewers watched IFL football this season, and that says a lot about where this league is headed," said IFL Commissioner Todd Tryon. "We've made a significant investment in our broadcast product, our talent and the way we present this game to a national audience, and fans are responding. Our reach is growing, our product is getting stronger and more people are discovering the IFL than ever before. Six million viewers is a major milestone, but more importantly, it's the foundation for even greater growth ahead."

The 2026 season also produced the most-watched broadcast in IFL history, with 454,134 viewers tuning in to Yahoo Sports Network for the May 16 matchup between the Jacksonville Sharks and Fishers Freight.

The IFL's record-setting 18th season concluded on August 16 at the Tucson Convention Center, where the Arizona Rattlers captured the 2026 IFL National Championship.
