While the UFL offseason has been extremely "quiet" from a player transaction point of view, the league is set to see one its "stars" return to the NFL. Late Tuesday afternoon, 2026 UFL defensive player of the year Cam Gill is rejoining the Carolina Panthers on their practice squad. Gill was initially signed by the Panthers on their practice squad during final cuts, however was released on September 9th. He now returns to Carolina for the 4th time in his career. Gill worked out for the Cardinals last week, his first opportunity since his release from the Panthers.
