NFL Teams Should Be Calling These 5 Dallas Renegades Players After Stellar 2026 Seasons

Just one week removed from the end of the 2026 Dallas Renegades season, fans in the metroplex are still disappointed with how the team finished, losing six of their last seven despite winning the last game of the year.

Even with the team finishing 4-6, no one can deny that Renegades head coach Rick Neuheisel found and brought in a ton of talent on this roster that gives hope for the franchise's future. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for them, Dallas might end up losing out on multiple players going to the NFL after putting up really good performances in 2026.

Which of the Dallas Renegades players are going to get their shot in the NFL to make a 53-man roster?

Five Renegades Players Most Likely Getting NFL Shots in 2026

Tyler Vaughns, WR

Let's get the obvious out of the way. Vaughns was once again one of the best wide receivers in the UFL despite a kind of weird season for him. He started with over 300 yards in the first three games, but finished up with 527 yards and seven touchdowns. All still great numbers that earned him the distinction of being the only Renegades player on the All-UFL team.

Vaughns may not be the fastest or tallest receiver on the team, but his ability to go up and make a catch with any kind of coverage is what made him Austin Reed's favorite target. He deserves his shot at the NFL after being ignored for so long.

Shaun Wade, CB

Playing in his first season in the UFL, Wade proved early on that he probably doesn't belong in the league and should be in the NFL. He finished with 24 tackles, nine pass deflections, three interceptions, and a forced fumble in eight games. Don't be surprised if his former team, the Chicago Bears, comes calling to bring him in, but regardless, he will be playing in an NFL preseason game soon enough.

Willie Taylor III, EDGE

Taylor has had his chances in the NFL, including with the Jacksonville Jaguars, and probably should get back into it. He racked up 14 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass breakup in eight games. A season-ending injury in the UFL might hold him back from the NFL at the moment, but if he recovers quickly, he should get a shot at an NFL team.

J.T. Tyler, LB

Tyler was everywhere for the Renegades as he just had really good instincts for finding the ball carrier. He finished with a team-high 62 tackles and four tackles for loss. Give him a shot at making an NFL team, and he could end up being a strong special teams player in the league.

Austin Reed, QB

Renegades fans might have their feelings about Reed, but he still put up some good numbers for the team, completing 56.3% of his passes for 1,923 yards and 21 touchdowns to 9 interceptions in 10 games. Reed has some development to do in decision-making and reading progressions, but he still has the arm talent to play in the NFL. Another year in the UFL would be good for him, but getting into an NFL camp could help him out as well, and he should get a shot at it.
