QB Hunter Dekkers and WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper earn NFL contracts on third day of UFL offseason

As the third day of the UFL offseason begins the Houston Gamblers continue to pump out NFL talent. After Kaden Davis, Ameer Speed, and Major Burns, all earned contracts with NFL teams, the Gamblers saw two more take their talents to the next level. Per multiple sources QB Hunter Dekkers and WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper have both earned contracts with the New Orleans Saints.

Both players worked out for New Orleans on June 15th, signing early Wednesday morning. Dekkers who despite being injured for several parts of the season returns to the Saints, after spending the 2025 season on their practice squad. Dekkers totaled 749 passing yards and 3 touchdowns in parts of five games this season.

For Jalen Moreno-Cropper he'll look to make an impact with the Saints as not only a receiver but also a kick returner. In addition to totaling almost 300 receiving yards, Moreno-Cropper added another 213 return yards, including a 93-yard kick return TD in week one. Moreno-Cropper spent around three years with the Dallas Cowboys bouncing between the practice squad and active roster appearing in four games.

The Gamblers have seen five players earn contracts and eleven players earn workouts. Last season the franchise saw five players earn contracts through the 2025 UFL to NFL signing cycle. So far 19 players from the UFL have signed contracts through Wednesday afternoon.
