With both the UFL and NFL in their offseason lulls, it's the perfect time to dive into some offseason content. As the UFL awaits the next wave of NFL signings for the 2026 player acquisition cycle, we're taking a look back at how each NFL team has utilized spring football as a developmental pipeline during the modern era of spring football since 2022. We continue the series with the Tennessee Titans, highlighting every spring league player the organization has signed over the past four years.
2022 Cycle:
The Titans signed defensive backs Shakur Brown (Pittsburgh Maulers) and Terrell Bonds (Pittsburgh Maulers), both from the 2-8 Pittsburgh Maulers. Both players would be released at the conclusion of training camp for Tennessee.
2023 Cycle:
In 2023, the Titans would sign two players from the XFL, both of which were playing for the San Antonio Brahmas.Tight End Alize Mack would be released from his contract at the conclusion of training camp, however Running Back Jacques Patrick would spend time on the Titans practice squad for several weeks during the fall of the 2023 NFL season.
2024 Cycle:
Due to injuries, the Titans signed Mikel Jones (D.C. Defenders), who was utilized for the last preseason game of the 2024 season. Jones spent six days with the team before his release.
2025 Cycle:
After failing to stick with the New England Patriots and Colts, the Titans signed Josiah Bronson (Memphis Showboats) for training camp during the 2025, only to release him at the conclusion of the preseason.
The Titans have signed 6 players over the last five seasons. While the “modern era” of spring football hasn’t been a fruitful venture for spring football players since the USFL, the Titans did roster Logan Woodside, Daniel Brunskill, and Nick Folk for several seasons collectively, as all three players found success from their time in AAF. The team has yet to sign any players from the UFL so far this signing cycle so far. UFL to NFL signings will continue once the teams begin training camp, later in July.
