UFL News Hub's Week Five Quarterback Rankings

Week four seemingly saw the most amount of parity in the UFL's quarterback rankings, with a new number one going into the halfway point of the season. This week, 13 Quarterbacks saw action this week with the league dealing with massive trades on Sunday after the slate of games. Going into week five, four quarterbacks have been traded seeing Dorian Thompson Robinson going to the Stallions, Matt Corral to the Storm, Mike DiLiello to the Louisville Kings, and Jason Bean to the D.C. Defenders.

Below are the week five rankings:

13.Chandler Rogers Louisville Kings

No Stats Recorded

Week Four Ranking: #10

Rogers came in relief of Bean after he was banged up for a play or two.

**The Louisville Kings have traded Jason Bean for Mike DiLiello, Chandler Rogers will be the starter moving forward**

12. Jalen Morton Columbus Aviators

No Stats recorded

Week Four Ranking: #11

Morton had a couple cameo plays, spelling McClendon this past week. While he didn’t record a statistic, he did manage to assist the Aviators in converting several first downs, enroute to their first victory of the season.

11. Michael Pratt St. Louis Battlehawks

0/0 0 yds 0 TD 0 INT 2 rush 8yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: N/A

Pratt got his first bit of action this past weekend and was able to display some of his athleticism. Hopefully for the Battlehawks he'll earn more regular playing time in the future, sooner rather than later.

10. Harrison Frost St. Louis Battlehawks

6/21 144yds 1 TD 1 INT 2 rush 23yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #6

Frost looks every bit as lost as Brandon Silvers has in the Battlehawks first three games. While the team obviously has issues, it appears now that Frost is on borrowed time with him playing QB. It's also worth noting that 75 yards from Frost's passing total came from a Hakeem Butler screen pass with another 34 coming on a quadrupole coverage heave to Butler before half time.

9. Nolan Henderson Houston Gamblers

4/7 43yds 0 TD 0 INT 3 rush 1 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: N/A

It appears at this point Henderson is incapable of manufacturing a solid outing if he’s the starter. At this point the Gamblers are better off riding with Tagovailoa, as they hope for Hunter Dekkers to return. The Gamblers have the talent, now its a matter of figuring out who can lead the team to the finish line.

8. Matt Corral Birmingham Stallions

13/20 83yds 0 TD 0 INT 1 rush -1 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #7

Corral looks to be lacking confidence, rather than it be a skill deficiency. Consistently it appears he's playing with hesitation, while misreading defenses as the year goes on. While Corral isn't a lost cause by any means, his time in the UFL as a starter may be coming to end soon.

***Corral was traded to the Orlando Storm in exchange for Dorian Thompson-Robinson***

7. Michael Heirs Birmingham Stallions

7/15 60yds 0 TD 0 INT 1 rush 1 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: N/A

It's clear that Birmingham was banking on Taylor Elgersma to make an appearance at some point this season, and Michael Heirs validated that this weekend. While Heirs wasn't terrible it's clear he is not ready to play at this level of competition. With the Stallions now rostering "DTR" Heirs opportunity to prove himself may come sooner rather than later, with not much room for mistakes as well.

6. Taulia Tagovailoa Houston Gamblers

7/14 64yds 0 TD 0 INT 4 rush 20 yds 1 TD

Week Four Ranking: #9

In his second performance with the Gamblers, Tagovailoa came in relief for Nolan Henderson. Tagovailoa was able to use his legs in an effort to give the Gamblers a competitive effort however, it wasn’t enough this week. While there is definitely some potential with Tagovailoa, he’s at this point nothing more than a stop gap for when Hunter Dekkers returns.

5. Jason Bean Louisville Kings

17/34 192yds 0 TD 1INT 6 rush 20yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #3

Bean couldn’t build upon his week threee performance, however did enough to help the Kings manage a win. Unfortunately, for Bean (or maybe fortunately) he’s now on his way to D.C. to become Jordan Ta’amu’s backup. Hopefully this change of scenery is what is needed for Bean, moving forward in 2027.

4.Jalan McClendon Columbus Aviators

10/15 126yds 1 TD 0 INT 8 rush 42 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #5

An erratic performance once again for McClendon however the Aviators were able to rely on his ability to move the chains with his legs in addition to a UFL record of 47-carries against the Dallas Renegades. McClendon is limited and at this point he is what he is, however if the Aviators can manage the game offensively, they might be able to succeed with the former Baylor/NC State signal caller at the helm.

3. Austin Reed Dallas Renegades

13/27 144yds 2 TD 1 INT 3 rush 41 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #1

While there was regression, a bad game from Austin Reed still puts him in the "elite" tier of UFL quarterbacks. The Renegades were a bit overmatched by Columbus this week, which I'd attribute to several factors. 3 games in 11 days, playing a team twice in a row, coupled by injuries all could have contributed to a "flat" Austin Reed performance. While Dallas is "fine" and Reed is on pace to break every spring football record since 2001, it does put on film that Reed is "human", which allows for more parity in the UFL.

2. Jack Plummer Orlando Storm

17/27 182yds 1 TD 0 INT 4 rush 41 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #2

I think at this point I'm rooting for the Jake Plummer train. Consistent, not too high, not too low, just decent football. Plummer continues to play complimentary football that allows his team to win. He's also on pace to throw for over 2000 yards and close to 20 touchdowns this year as well.

1. Jordan Ta’amu D.C. Defenders

22/36 204yds 2 TD 0 INT 11 rush 61 yds 0 TD

Week Four Ranking: #4

Taxes, Death and Jordan Ta'amu taking off in week four. After "average" play for the first three weeks of the season, Ta'amu is back on track as a top tier UFL QB. Ta'amu finally utilized his legs in this week to launch him into the UFL's top ten in rushing. With Ta'amu fully acclimated to the 2026 Defenders offense look for him to consistently compete with Plummer, and Reed for the top spot for UFL quarterbacks.
